“Why vaccinate?”
Tuesday 23th April 2pm @ Ward End Library
This event is focused for the Romanian Community -there will be interpreters available to translate.
Immunisation is the process whereby a person is made immune or resistant to an infectious disease, typically by the administration of a vaccine. Vaccines stimulate the body’s own immune system to protect the person against subsequent infection or disease.
Immunisation controls and eliminates life-threatening infectious diseases. It is estimated to save between 2 and 3 million lives each year.
This event will highlight the importance of being vaccinated, especially for children.
Question & answer session.
Refreshments will be available.
